Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Nissan Primera 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 80000 miles

Hi all, I am repairing a friend's car but am out of ideas. The starter motor cranks the engine, but it will not fire up. I have checked fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel lines, and all are ok. All cylinders have spark, all plugs, leads, coil, distributor and battery are ok. I'm sure that the engine is getting both fuel and spark, but I cannot check compression because I dont have the tools and the car is too old to spend money on. It almost seems like an immobiliser issue, but the car doesnt have one...Any ideas? Thanks
