Nissan Pathfinder Airbag Light and Horn Issues

I have a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder XE (V6) and my airbag light is blinking and the horn does not work.

Some history: I have taken the car to a auto repair shop for some repairs. After I got the car back the airbag light is blinking and the horn does not work. The shop told me the clockspring needed replacing to fix the airbag light. They replaced the clockspring but the light is still blinking. For the horn, the relay, fuse, and horns are ok. Now they want to replace the steering column. All of this has been no cost to me except time and scheduling of the repairs (4 trips now). I'm not sure they know how to fix the issue.

Question: Would a replacement of the steering column correct my horn and airbag issues?

Concerned,
RGL

I would take the vehicle back and make sure they get it right. If you paid money to have it fixed and it still doesn't work right then it's on them. If you have to make a complaint to a higher authority. The horn issue could tie down to the clock spring too. It's all in the steering column and they could of left a ground wire off for the horn. Remember, this is just a guestiment i'm not there to see what happened, just giving you some ideas. Good luck.
