Weird noise when gas pedal is applied

Just recently I have been hearing some metal screaching noise when I apply pressure to my gas pedal? Usally when it's between 1st and 3rd gear. Any ideas?

Is this a consistent grinding sound during the entire second gear power band? Does it distinctly follow the application of more or less gas pedal?

Well. I'm starting to notice when the clutch and gas are being applied it make the sound. But more with the gas pedal. And when I start driving from a stop or the gears between 1-3 it's not accelerating like it should be. Like it's taking a second breathe to get going. I'm starting to think the it's my pressure plate or fuel pump and /or my intake vauvle. Any ideas? Thanks so much! I'm trying to keep my pathfinder with out trading it in. That's my baby.
