I have a 1990 nissan stanza automatic transmission is it ok to drive the car around without a thermostrat in it. It has 155969 miles on it

It will affect your gas miliage as the engine would normally want to keep all the heat to itself until the thermostat opens. May create a corbon build up from the richer mixture when it is warming up.
