I have a 2001 nissan maxima SE edition with 88012 miles on it.

my problem - when I make right turns, it sounds like an aluminum plate tapping against another aluminum plate.

do I need to replace my drive axle, or is it a bad cv joint or wheel bearing? If it is one of these pieces, which side is it? When I am driving it sounds like it is coming from the front left.

there is not a funny wear on the tires and it does not sound like a kunking sound.

Try jacking the car up if the cv axel boot is riped you may need to replace it, with the car jacked up grap the top and bottum of the tire and move it in and out if there is a lot of play it may be the wheel baring
