Hello, I had the Check Engine Light on, and when I had the codes run, the code for Idle Control Valve/Motor was the code that showed up. Today I had the Idle Control Motor changed and now my car idles much higher than before. It is much higher than it should be. It basically can drive itself without me pressing the accelerator, and shifts harder because the idle is so high.

What can be done? Will this go back to normal with a little driving, or is new the Idle Control Motor/Valve bad?

It probably won't go back to normal. You need to do a relearn of the idle. You will need a scanner to do this or you can find information on doing it w/o a scanner. The non-scanner method has never really worked for me. So you need to go somewhere that can do it.
