Noises problem
2001 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently bought my dad's old maxima. I am having a problem with all the audio working all the time. Most of the time the music comes through the front tweeters only. I was going to upgrade the stereo to accomodate my iphone for blue tooth, mp3's but still use regular cd's too. Do you have any recommendations or even before I upgrade, is there a simple fix to get the speakers all working again? Thanks.

If your car has a Bose system, the rear speakers has a separate amplifier mounted in the trunk just below the rear deck. Perhaps you have a blown power fuse going to that amp. The Bose radios sends low level signal to the rear amplifier and this is then boosted to amplify the sound to the rear speakers. Check the manual for location of this fuse.

I checked. I wasn't fortunate enough to have the bose system. I took out the head unit and took out then put back the three wiring inputs on the back incase there was a bad connection. No such luck. Althought the base in the driverside front speaker seems to work now.

Email me for a Nissan Max radio wiring. What you need to do is find out the pair of wires for each speaker, and then try to feed an audio signal to this pair and see if the speaker and its wiring is intact. If that proves to be true, then the problem is in your radio.

I wired an iPhone FM modulator and that worked great. I tried two brands, and the best one for me is the iSimple brand. I tried the Pyle version and that one is not good and doesn't have the phone charging capability like the iSimple.
