2001 Nissan Maxima

I have 2001 Nissan maxima and when I run the air conditioning on a hot day in traffic the gauge goes almost to hot I already replaced thermostat and flushed the radiator
Please advise thank you

Open the hood, have someone turn on the A/C, do the cooling fan(s) come on? You may need a fuse or relay, or even the fan itself replaced. If you have a test light, turn A/C on if fan does not start, check the connection for power. If no power look at the relay, or fuse, if you have power replace the fan.

Check to make sure the water pump works, I have see over time that the impellers wear out, leaving enough cooling at low speed, but not enough circulation for highspeeds. In other words the impellers disolve down to small nubs!
