Heater problem
2000 Nissan Maxima Automatic 160000 miles
I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima. It's got about 160000 miles. Around maybe spring of 09 the heater/air conditioner won't respond unless the dial is turned to full blast, which is the number 4. However, even when the dial is turned to off, heat still radiates out. Recently however, the heat coming out is lessening. Some heat still radiates out but only noticeably after just turning off from full blast. Is there a way to fix the heater cheaply? Also would the check engine light being on affect this? I'm pretty sure the check engine light is on because of something to do with the O2 censor, something with the exhaust. Thanks for the help.
