My car will not start, the starter does not turn the engine. At first I thought the battery was dead but it is not dead att all. When I try to start the car I here a click but the starter does not turn the engine? Also ware is the starter in a 1999 maxima? And is it a big job to change the starter?.....Ed Kidney

Just follow the positive battery cable down through the engine compartment, it leads to the starter.

The starter is at the bottom rear of the engine close to the tranny.

To replace it, disconnect negative battery cable. Raise and support vehicle. Disconnect starter wiring, then remove the mounting bolts and starter. Reverse removal procedure to install.
