I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima bought new. It has almost 140,000 miles now. About 2 weeks ago, I started to feel if the engine is going to die when I stopped at the traffic lights. It feels like if it has no enough gas passing through or some may call it idle problem.

I stopped by a shop and the mechanic show me the reading from the scanner that it says "cylinder #1 misfired". The mechanic said I needed to replace the fuel injector. He said the spark plug and the ignition coil are still good, even though I saw the spark plug is pretty black in color. The "service engine soon" light also came on a few days later.

I tried 2 bottles of fuel injector cleaner with full tank of gas but condition is the same.

I went to another shop, he used a palm size scanner and it showed "P1320, P0300" code. He said I needed to go back and he will plug in to a computer.

A local autoparts store said I should change fuel filter, spark plug and ignition coil on cylinder #1 to see if the problem will be fixed before I replace the fuel injector. I tried unplug the cable from the ignition coil for #1 and #3 and I didn't feel much if there's any difference for the car body shaking.

Any advice?
