My car didn't start the other morning It has never done that before. when I tried to turn the engine over it just would connect. It has been fine since but I am concerned. Also I have noticed lately that the clock just trips back to 12 sometimes. Is it the battery or the starter or maybe the alternator? Please help! What should I do? what can I do before I have to take it to a mechanic

Does the engine cranks over but will not start or just doesn't crank at all? If the engine cranks over and will not start it could be a fuel or spark problem. Now,if it does not crank at all it could be the battery, starter or connection.
