When my 96 maxima automatic transmission car is stopped at a stop sign or red light, the engine seems to lurch forward. We had the car parked but in drive with the emergency brake on and it periodically jumps forward. What are some of the reasons why this could happen. The check engine light is on and the codes read for an EGR valve, could this be the reason....Lee
