My 1991 Nissan Maxima for the last few months would ido rough and die if I did not give it moderate gas. It was much worse when it was humid or raining outside. The car then began idoling rough always and would die if not given sufficient gas. It now died and wont start. I believ I have a fuel problem. I am going to start with the fuel filter any ideas to help?

Check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator.

When I got home the car strated right away. It still sputters and dies when idoling. It does have pressure at the fuel filter I am replacing the fuel filter because it could use a new filter. I am not sure what to test for on the fuel pump or pressure regulator.
