Hi,
I have replaced the battery on this car many times but never had such an issue; today when I tried to put in a new battery, after I first connected the positive cable, then the negative cable, after about 30 seconds or so (to put away my tools), the alarm went off when I turned the key and tried to start the car. I don't have an alarm remote control so I don't know how to turn it off. I turned the key to "iginition" but it did not work. Can you let me know how to correct this problem/
Thank you very much.
Regards,
Jason

Hi jlee4171,

There are many types of alarm system and I do not know which is incorporated in your car so I can only offer the following different possibilities.

1. Locate for a reset button. Turn Ignition on and press reset button.

2. Turn ignition on and off 5 or six times in succession.

4. Disconnect alarm control unit. Turn ignition on and plug alarm unit back.

Good luck.
