I have a 2000 Altima 4 cyl. with 53,000 miles. Occasionally, the speedometer, tachometer, odometer and temperature gauge all stop working. Sometimes when it happens on the highway, engine is unresponsive when I press down on accelerator. After a few minutes, problem goes away. Have taken it to 2 different places but they cannot find problem. They do not find any codes when hooked up to computer.

SOunds like a bad ground or power somewhere. I would start at the battery and work your way toward the interior.Look for loose/dirty/corroded connections

There is a common problem with the speedomoter board on the back of the instrument cluster. that causes your symptoms.

If this is only happening on LONG trips, then also look at the ignition relay (#25230-9B900)
