I want to know whether my car has mechanical neutral start switch or electrical neutral start switch?

Hello everyone,
I am pretty new here. I have 1997 Nissan Altima car which has automatic transmission. I have one question. I want to know whether my car has mechanical neutral start switch or electrical neutral start switch? What is the location of that switch in the car? Could anyone let me know about this question ASAP? Thank you,

Good evening,

You have an electronic switch for the park/neutral switch. It is in the console by where the shifter cable attaches to the shifter. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed. Roy
