I have a nissan altima 2005 2.5S. My seat belts for both driver and passenger side don't go back to their positions once released. I have to bring the buckle back manually to put on seat belts. What could be wrong?

Sounds like you may have failed seat belt retractors. Seat belt retractors are mounted in the B pillars. If the car is under warrenty still this should be covered. Also keep in mind that some seatbelt components are warrantied for 10 years.
