i'd like to know in a nissan altima if the timing chain was put on wrong diagram could it affect the valves

very possible that valve(s) were damaged with the timing chain incorrectly installed, yes.

well i guess i had to remove the head and send it to the shop to get corrected and put it back with the right diagram cause i'm about to buy the car but i know it running bad the engine is shaking a little bit when you shut it down you ca hear the air leaking out of the valve .

Before removing the head, recheck the valve timing first.
If the air filter had been replaced with a fast flow type, it would occur as mentioned. so would a removed or bad filter.
