Engine problem
2002 Nissan Altima 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 79000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently replaced battery because it was dead. after then, my engine stops while going over bumps or nearer to stop-and-go signal lights. this became worse while going on freeway at higher speeds around 65mph, the engine stops and gives a 'jerk' for a second and continues to run the engine again. i feel like i put a brake.

this happens once in a day. please help!

Hi there,

Run a diagnostic check for set fault codes, check all battery terminals are tight, it sounds like a loose or poor electrical connection, as it is worse when you hit a bump, try wriggling connections with the engine running, this may show a poor connection. (don't touch spark plug leads with hands you may get a nasty shock)
