I took my car in to the nissian dealer and they install a both catalytic converter. After the install my car now smokes so bad I can't drive it. The dealer is saying that the car was smoking before the converters was install but I could'nt see it at the time. Willl changing the catalytic converter cause a car to smoke to the point where you can't drive it?

Hi there,

Normally no, what colour is the smoke? I think that you would have known that the car was smoking before the converter was installed, so if it was not I would go back to the dealer and complain, and if that dose not work go to Nissan customer care and lodge a complaint against the dealer, this will get there attention.
