My glove compartment is stuck and the latch simply moves back and forth with no resistance as if a springing mechanism is displaced. The key seems to make no difference. How can I get it open/fix it without bringing a crowbar into the picture?

Hello

This is a tough question as the information I am looking at doesn't show all the details probably necessary. Are you able to take a couple of pics of this to attach? I show this on the center console..... Is this correct? If you are unable to then I will resend this back to some of the other moderators to see what else we can come up with.
Hope this helps - let us know - Thanks for asking on our site!

Hi Danurse,

The latch lever inside is most probably broken or dislodged. The only way to open it is to try to unlatch it by using a screw driver into the latch hole from beneath. Try to get to the unlocking tab and push it to unlock. You might need a bent rod instead of a screwdriver.
