I have a 2002 Altima with 69k miles. When I have been driving for a while, the car starts to overheat. The check engine light is on as well. No one can seem to figure out why it is overheating. After going to 3 different places, I took it to the dealer and they said it was the radiator but they wouldnt know until they put a new one in. I feel like they just want money. I dont believe a radiator would go bad with only 70k miles. Does that sound right? Or could it be something else?

Thank you!

No visible leaks? It only overheats when driving or does it do it in traffic? Assuming the cooling fans are working, I would have it chemical tested for a blown head gasket, just to eliminate the worst case scenario. Could be a flow problem in the rdiator, but at 70k I wouldnt think there would be too much build-up

No visible leaks. We took the car to a radiator place today and they said it was really clogged. Its rainy today so its hard to tell if it worked. Hot days in florida usually dont help. Someone else said a blown head gasket. Wouldnt the engine be really messed up if that were the case?

Thanks a million!
