What should I expect to pay if engine diagnosis states that I need a ring job/new engine block?

This is a rather tricky question to reply too.
Firstly, with out knowing the exact problems you have with the engine it make it a bit hard. You mentioned a new engine block, this is most unusual as you would only replace a block if it was significantly damaged. Your would be better served getting a quote to fit a re-co change over engine, it would be quicker and cheaper in the long run. If you reply with your engine symptoms, there may be an alternative to a re build. What have you been told is the problem exactly?
