This engine uses 1/2 quart every fillup,does not smoak or show signs of leaking oil,where could the problem be

It is either leaking it or burning it.
Raise car, put on stands and inspect engine area for leaks, this is most likely possibility.
If no leaks are found, have compression test performed to rule out/in rings.
