I recently got a P1400 code on my 2000 Nissan Altima so I changed the EGR Valve hoping that would be the fix, but the code stayed on even after taking it to Autozone and getting the code deleted twice. The car before I change the EGR valve was dying at ever stop now after it still dies but not so frequent. Its also shaking and was not shaking before I first got the P1400 code. Can't be the motor mounts because I had them replaced so my guess is it has something to do with the EGR system.

Hi arturocisneros,

For P1400, it is the EGR Control ( EGRC ) solenoid and not the valve that is at fault I would cehck the valve and check the vacuum lines to makes sure that are attached and not broken.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers
