Hi, I was drving my car just down street then I shut it off to talk to my friend. I started the car back up then I hit the gas pedal the car doesnt move. I checked under the hood and when my friend hit the gas I see the fuel wire moving but there is nothing is happening for the gas to go thru. No gas is going thru. My friend tells me its the fuel pump. Any ideas? I hope its something easy to fix. I cant drive my car to an auto repair shop because like I said it wont move. Thanks!

If the car starts and the engine is running, then your fuel pump cannot be blamed for your problem. You said when you put the shifter into "Drive", the car does not want to move forward. What about reverse. Do you have reverse, or other gears for that matter?

Was it hard to get it out of "Park"? Make sure you have enough fluid and the shift linkage cable is securely attached to the top of transmission.
