Hello, thanks in advance for the help!! My car seems to creaking alot where the CV boots would be. Also it sounds like an indicator noise (high pitched consistant whine, not too loud though). I had the brakes checked so thats not it as far as the whine, it also creaks pretty loudly when i go over bumps and sometimes when i turn hard or quickly. was told(not by a mechanic) that it could be the CV boots!! Hope someone can help, Thanks, Wendy.

It is your entire CV axle, not just the boot.

There are many places that will replace it for about 250, but it depends on where you live. The book calls for 2.2 hours for driver and 1.2 hours for the passenger side. Call around for the best price. Also ask if you can bring in your part instead of having to buy theirs. It will be about $65 each side.

Thanks for the compliment on Speedy my kitty. He has been with us for 3 years now.
