The lights on my 97 Altima come on, but the engine does not crank when I turn the key. Is the problem the starter? The car was fine when used on Wednesday. Saturday it didn't want to start. Looking at this forum, it seems that this is a problem with Nissan's. Any help would be very appreciated.

Check fuse no.16 10amp. if okay have helper hold key at crank position and look for power at black and yellow wire at starter solenoid-power there replace the starter-No power-check inhibitor switch on transmission and also the ignition switch.
