Hey guys,
My car idles and runs very sluggish. I replaced the Mass Air Flow Censor and it ran fine at first. I did run it with a dirty air filter. If I unplug the MAF Censor the car runs fine. Any suggestions on cleaning it? Is it safe to run the car with it unplugged? Also when I tap on the Air intake near the MAF censor the car tends to stall. Pulling my hair out

Do you have the check engine light on? You can get a spray cleaner specifically made for Mass Air Flow Sensor like CRC 05110. I would also recommend that you clean your throttle body while you are at it.

We replaced it 3 times now but the 3rd time its running fine now. I do have the check engine light on now afterwards. Someone said I have to wait for the computer to run a cycle or whatever. Any thoughts on that?
