Tail lights will not turn off. Battery was disonnect to get lights to go off. What is may problem?

You sure its the tail light that is On bcuz if it is the front running lights will be On too. Is this the case?

Could be the brake lights that's On due to defective brake switch or needs adjusting that's giving you the curve ball on the tail lights.
