It is stuck in park I think it might be the shift interlock

it is stuck in park i think it might be the shift interlock switch but i do not se it anywhere . I do not have a button to override the interlock as i do on my new car. I was wondering if someone could walk me through the problem please. I know that it is not the brake switch cause when i stand behind the car i se the brake light light up.

Yes I have seen the shift interlock have a problem causing the shifter not to move here are diagrams to help you get it fixed. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
