I have a 2000 Infiniti I30 with 95K miles. I was driving this morning and when I finally arrived at work and cut off the car, I noticed white smoking coming from beneath the hood of my car. I checked the coolant and it was right at the minimum line. Also, there was some whitish splattery spots on the stuff under the hood. That might have been old...not sure. What could be the problem with my car? How much should I look to spend fixing it? Is something wrong with my engine? It drives really smoothly and doesn't make sounds. IT also starts fine. What's wrong with it? Also, should I drive it or tow it to a repair shop?

Try changing the radiator cap for a cheap fix -before we go critical on overheating problems

Your temperature gauge will tell you -when you're overheating

When was the thermostat changed and last cooling system flush.
