I have a 1991 240SX, with 1997 engine. Car runs fine, except will not re-start if I turn off engine after running 15-20 minutes. Have to wait 15-20 minutes, then re-starts no problem.
Battery OK, fuel pump has been checked not overheating. Car not overheating, radiator fine, not losing water. Local mechanic has checked and re-checked electrical connections. Now replaced starter, problem persists.
Nissan dealership mechanic looked over and says replace spark plugs, coils, even carbeurator, but did not explain why car doesn't restart, so I'm not willing to do anything he suggests. (Don't think that mechanic actually took the car out on the road, my local guy did and experienced the no-restart problem.) My local guy (I live in the country of Oman, my mechanic if from Pakistan) is trying to help, but stumped.
Ideas?
Thanks.
