1996 Nissan 200SX Radiator? Head gasket? Something else?
1996 Nissan 200SX Two Wheel Drive Manual 163000 miles
Yesterday my car started making some noises i'd never heard before. The fan seemed to sound louder than normal. Then there was some knocking and hissing noises. When i shifted into 3rd, it started squealing. Then the car shut off. Fortunately, i was in front of my house when this happened, so i was able to pull in. Now my car will crank and run, but only for a few seconds before it shuts off. I really have no idea what is going on with it and i was supposed to take a trip in it today.

Did you check the coolant level?
Is any of the indicator lights showing?

I had just added coolant before it happened because it was low. When i got home, it was leaking. The check engine light is on.

Hope yo have not damaged the engine due to overheating.
Get a free scan done at Autozone to retrieve the trouble code to understand what is causing it.
