I swapped out my fuel pump with a new assembly not jut the pump and once I bolted everything back and turned on my truck the low fuel light was on and needle at "E". I then dropped the tank once more to double check my work including to see if float was getting hung up on anything it looked good and still same problem. I pulled the codes and P0460 came out. What can I do next?

So the gas gauge worked fine before you replaced the fuel pump?Did the new fuel pump come with a new fuel sending unit? Also you double checked to make sure everything was plugged in?Did you do a fuel sending unit sweep while watching the fuel gauge on the dash?Meaning you move the fuel sending unit with your hand while watching the fuel gauge on the dash?

Yes gauge worked fine with no issues. The second time I dropped the tank the reason was to double check everything. Connectors vent tube etc. As far as sending unit yes it did come with a new one already connected to the assembly. The only thing I didn't do was the sweep with the sending unit. Second question is once I do the sweep if the needle doesn't move on the gauge does that mean there's a possibility I received a damaged unit?

Most likely you have a bad fuel sending unit.I replaced a 2005 Chevy impala fuel pump complete with sending unit. Fuel gauge was working backwards the lower the fuel the higher the gauge read on the fuel gauge. Turned out the sending unit it came with was causing the fuel gauge to work backwards. You could test the sending unit with a multi meter. But if everything is plugged in and the fuel gauge worked before chances are the new fuel sending is bad.
