Need tires

Hey everybody hope you're doing well
I need all season tires for my 05 Jeep Liberty Sport because mine are bald. With winter coming I can't waste much more time.

As I mentioned it's an 05 Liberty Sport 6 cylinder 3.7 Liter engine
I just want some good used all season tires, but I've never purchased tires before. Do they base how used they are on a percentage? How do they base how used they are, and whats a good price for 4 used all season tires?
Also what kind of tires do I even need? And Do you have any recommendations of where I can get them?

Hi,

Lets start with the type and size of tire. Your vehicle calls for either a 225/75 R16 or a 235/70 R16. You need to check the sticker in your driver door jamb to see what is called for your vehicle.

The way they judge tires is based on the tread thickness. This is measured in 32nds. So a new tire is 11/32nd and as they wear it gets less and less. Used tires are measured the same way and priced more expensive for the more tread they have on them.

As for where to buy used tires, that is going to depend on your town and where they sell them. I am not sure there is an online used tire site.

If it were me, I would not buy used tires. You never know what was done with them and trying to find 4 of the same tire with the same amount of tread on them is not easy. I would just shop around the internet and local tire stores and find the best value tire.

Thank you very much! That really helped, I'll check the side of my door. And I appreciate the suggestion about new tires. I am actually 12 hours from my home for a few months, so I am not really familiar with this southern part of America but I am going to do some research and if I have questions I will let you know. Appreciate the help and hope you're having a good night.
