He has been spraying it over and over with lubricant and letting it sit. He uses a wrench to turn it back and forth so much so that he broke off the head. A friend gave him a device to "heat it up" in order to try and loosen it but it's hard to get to and so far it won't come out. What can he do?

If he already broke the bolt, he will need to use something like vice grips to clamp onto what is still left. As far as the heat, it will help if you if you can heat the block around the bolt so it expands.

The bolt is in a ford windstar front wheel drive 1996 van so it's difficult to get to?

I don't know why, but this just showed up in my mail. Sorry it has been so long. Have you had any luck with the issue?
