Low Oil pressure at idle/ engine warmed up.

Hello

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Gs-T.
I get very Low Oil Pressure when I am at Idle, but my Pressure seems to be okay when I am on the highway.
Is there a definitive way I can find out If I need a new oil pump.
My engine has 115,500 miles on it.
Thanks.

I have the same problem / concern on a 1994 eclipse with 1.8L. It has run this way since buying it several years ago and nothing has blown up, but it does run a little rough at idle with the AC on. I wonder if there is enough oil pressure? It also leaks a bit of oil around the seals. Anyone know if this is typical for this car, or do I need an oil pump? The pressure climbs back up with revs. Thanks.
