I own a mitsubishi montero sport 199 model v6. Recently I have encountered a problem. Two out of the six plugs are not functioning. Only four functions and this does not make the car to run smoothly. It jerks. My mechanic beleives there is a problem with the camshaft sensor which controls the plug wires supplying fire to the plugs. My mechanic has checked all three coils that feeds all the six plugs but there is no problem with them. Please I need help.

That COULD be the problem but as I remember the sensor controls all the firing not just misc cylinders. It could be a fluke and is worth replacing as they are not too expensive. One has to believe mechanics at some point until proven wrong. I have learned that after 40+ years in the business. Good luck
