when was the last time you changed your oil? Get a gauge and check oil pressure, if good and the sound comes from the top of the engine, (i.e. lifter noise), change your oil and add a can of BG "MOA", or a can of "Sea Foam" to loosen up and clear out the lifter oil gallies. If it sounds like its coming from the block of the engine, have it checked out, you may have a bearing going south
