1993 Other Mitsubishi Models water pump
Engine Cooling problem
1993 Other Mitsubishi Models 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive 183000 miles
We have a small water leak which might be coming from the water pump. It drips for a while after switching off engine. We have been told that if it is the water pump we would have to do cam belt as well but this was done at 163000 kms. Is this correct. Please advise

It is recommended to change the belt when replacing water pump and it should not cost more than the price of the belt
as old belt will be removed to access the water pump
you do not have to replace the belt it is just a recommendation
which could or could not save you money on the long run
