When engine gets warm there is alot of smoke under the hood of oil spilling on exaust manifold and burning. Car does not burn oil from tailpipe. Muffler is excellent condition. Somehow oil is leaking onto exaust manifold and is burning and smoking under the hood. Alot of terrible smoke. There are no oil leaks on floor. The car does not overheat. I cannot see any leaks within engine compartment. Somewhere under the hood on the passenger side, oil is leaking onto exaust manifold. Can you please advice me on where the oil is coming from and where is it burning on manifold.

It is the same with my wifes montero sport. You can see the oil on the exaust manifold on the passenger side, but cant see where it is coming from. My best guess is that it is coming from behind the timing belt cover. Possibly a camshaft seal. I am getting ready to replace the timing belt on her car and will check the seals while I am in there. I will post my findings.
