2000 Mitsubishi Mirage car starting and then not starting b

OK so my car will start, after it has been sitting for a least 2 hours. Yesterday I drove 10 miles, and not very quickly. turned off my car and it would not start back up for 2 hours. Of course the radio and lights come on when i attepmted, but there is not even a clicking noise when this happens. I think my lights come on fine and what not. Check the ignition switch. its located in the steering column and it is connected to the key socket. The part is known to go bad and it usually effects the entire electrical system. Also, check under the steering wheel behind the plastic cover to see if any wires are disconnected. A small wire came apart as i was driving my mirage and it shut the whole car down. ill see if i can find a pic to add of the ignition switch. i changed the part in my car by myself.
