There is a strange noise coming from the front passenger/right side of the engine, near the wheel well. It sounds like a quiet, steady knock/flapping. The noise is only there when the car is in drive, and tends to get louder when stopped. I originally noticed this noise shortly after I first bought the car last winter, and it started going away when it got warmer. I recently started hearing it again now that it starting to cool down, a little. I have no other issues, but this noise concerns me. Thanks for your help.

OK this noise could be a number of things. To find you what it is you need to do some investigating and will need either a long screw driver or an automotive stethiscope so you can listen to things. If you use a long screw driver then you put the metal end on what you want to listen to and cup your hand over the handle an put you ear up to it. Now I would listen to the alternator, the A/C compressor the power steering pump, the water pump and the idles and tensioner pulley's. I think it may be the A/C compressor as they do tend to make noise and as it is colder you use the defrost more and therefore the compressor is running. Let me know what you find.
