MY 2000 GALANT HAS HAD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS. I ASKED THE MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP THAT I PURCHASED IT FROM AND HE IS TELLING ME THAT IT IS FROM THE DOWFLOW SENSOR IN THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER BECAUSE OF THE CARBON BUILD UP. CAN YOU CONFIRM THIS

Hi there,

Did the mechanic do a scan to determine the code I.D. If not you should get a second opinion and if possible report back here with the set code and we can advise you on what is going on.
