I recently replaced the headgasket on my 1.8 sohc eclipse and now it wont start. Im thinking it has to to with the engine timing because i did tinker with the cams while the head was out. Any ideas on how I could fix this?

Sounds like the valve timing is off

Remove the distributor-Put engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke/TDC align camshaft and crankshaft sprocket and at the vibration damper to TDC/0 then install distributor making sure the rotor is pointing to the no.1 cap tower. Fire it up then adjust ignition timing.
