So I have been having an issue with the front passenger door lock. I replaced the actuator with a new actuator but the car now only "unlocks" on the electronic switch but does not "lock" when pressing lock on either the passenger or driver's side door lock switch.

I tried plugging in the older actuator but the problem remains. If I unplug the old or new actuator entirely, the doors will lock again using the lock switch but obviously this does not solve the problem because the passenger door actuator is not plugged in, during this scenario.

Any ideas?

Check switch to see if power is going through it first. May not be. Check all fuses in picture then have a mechanic scan for codes as the pass door ECU may be the problem.

This is still a problem with the design of these actuators. I figured out that moving part of the new actuator is causing this problem. When the door key is inserted and turned to the left, the lock will lock using the electrical control. But it is so touchy that it will lock and unlock the car very fast. Then the new actuator will unlock the car and not allow you to lock. I've replaced the actuator already. Is there a step I am missing in terms of the door locking shaft alignments?
