Engine Performance problem
1998 Mercury Tracer 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 138000 miles
my 98 tracer runs fine till it gets in third gear then it hesitates and runs rough,but if I step on gas it kicks down and runs fine till third gear again.also sometimes while driving normal speed engine cuts out,it dont stall but even if I put gas petal to floor it does not do anything. but if I shift to neutral and turn car off and restart it takes off like nothing is wrong. PLEASE HELP ME.
