1994 mercury tracer

I have a 1994 mercury tracer with a 4 cylinder stick shift. 115 964 miles. a week ago I had the fuel filter and pump replaced. now the car wont start at all. it turns over but wont catch. sprayd break cleaner in engine still no start. i dont know how to check for spark. please help.

I don't know that brake clean will work, carb cleaner would. Should get a spark tester for spark testing.

well another way i have found to do it is remove the number 4 spark plug...(when looking at the motor it is the last one on the right)....push it back into the plug boot and ground it out on the radiator or something metal and turn the car over you will be able to see the plug spark as the motor turns
